In 2019, Caitlin was a lighting co-designer with Nicholas Davidson for Max Hershenow’s (@alexmaax) music video “Bets Off.” She also programmed the lighting on her Hedgehog 4x lighting console.
In Fall of 2020, Glendale Community College produced their first fully digital production, War of the Worlds. Each student contactlessly picked up a kit including costumes, makeup, lighting, props, cameras, green screens, and all other equipment they would need. The production was filmed entirely remotely and students were never in the same location together.

Lighting design by Caitlin Eby for this ten thousand square foot exhibit including dioramas, case-work redesign, general illumination on specimens, and an environment of colorful textured light that help promote the idea of fun through learning and science. Her responsibilities included writing a lighting design concept narrative, providing intent draftings for the exhibit and re-designed cases, on-site supervision during focus, and as-built draftings upon completion of the exhibit.

High End Hog Factor Programming Competition, LDI Las Vegas, October 2017
Out of entrants from across the country, Caitlin Eby and her teammates Kit Baumer and Szu-Yun Wang were chosen as one of three final teams in this moving light show competition. For their final piece performed live in the High End booth at LDI, all three final teams performed their pre-programmed show cued to "Devil Went Down to Georgia" by the Charlie Daniels Band. The team was selected as first place winners by a panel of judges based off their programming skill, innovation, "it factor," and sensitivity to the music. Below is the 3D Light Converse visualized show that they performed live at LDI in Las Vegas.

In 2018, Caitlin created a projections design for the devised collaborative piece “Woke: A Revolutionary Cabaret” in which students explored themes of racism, gender identity, and sexual assault in their own lives. See the “Projections” tab for more information on this design and its creation.

Dalton School of Dance Multimedia Room at Western Michigan University
Winner of the Western Michigan University 2015 Luscombe Collaborative Arts Grant.
A six month experiment in collaboration between dance and design, culminating in an original dance piece. Proposed and produced by Caitlin Eby, scenic design by Caitlin Eby, lighting design by Evan Carlson, choreography by Bree McCormack, costume design by Samantha Corbeille.
Inspired by her experience at 2014 LDI Broadway Lighting Master Classes in New York City , particularly the conversation between Jennifer Tipton and Twyla Tharp, Caitlin Eby returned to WMU the following semester and proposed a collaboration aimed at relating the forms of light, dancers, and sculpture or scenery in silence. The project quickly gained traction and won the 2015 Luscombe Collaborative Arts Grant. It was devised during weekly rehearsals with all artists involved in the project at every rehearsal. These photos included shots from the rehearsal process, publicity shots, and the final performance.

Victory Gardens Richard Christiansen Theatre, Chicago IL
Lighting Design by Caitlin Eby for five full-length festival finalists, 16 ten-minute festival plays in WMU's Zack L. York Arena. As winner, Cane River King was taken on tour to Victory Gardens in Chicago, IL where it was remounted for a final and more highly produced iteration. Directed by Mark Liermann, Lighting and Set Design by Caitlin Eby, Sound Design by D.J. Potts.
In 2014, Caitlin programmed a moving light show for “Everything You Can Think” by Tom Waits as part of a lighting designer showcase. The piece was programmed on an ETC console and triggered via MIDI timecode off of a single GO.
This production was a part of the Senate Innovation Grant awarded by the GCC Senate to Caitlin Eby and the Theatre Department to produce a piece of socially distanced theatre that was aimed at providing more representation and opportunities for our Black students.

Ghetto by Joshua Sobol is a play about the experiences of Jews in the Vilna Ghetto during Nazi occupation during World War II. It is primarily focused on the Jewish theatre in the ghetto and how they were used as propaganda by the Nazis.
