THE L.A. CHORAL LAB: PRAYERS & DANCES

A night of auditory meditations and movements

Warehouse Choral Concert, March 19, 2016

Produced by Werkartz and The L.A. Choral Lab

Downtown Los Angeles, CA

Lighting Design by Caitlin Eby and Nicholas Davidson

In a two-part concert the L.A. Choral Lab and local artists transformed a downtown Los Angeles warehouse into an audio-visual performance space. In act I, PRAYERS, audience members were enwrapped in music, seated amongst choristers and the conductor for a sound bath simulation. Act II, DANCES, was an exploration of the interplay of music, light, and color, a stimulating sensory experience with Werkartz's massive infinity wall as the backdrop. Following the performance, the space was converted into a dance floor with late night music provided by TRACER.
